Survey for how instructional designers use gamification

The purpose of this survey is to investigate how instructional designers and other educational professionals use and practice gamification on creating eLearning material. We would particularly focus on identifying the most popular gamification elements and find out why and how instructional designers prefer to use selected elements to create learning material. This survey will investigate the use of game elements, instructional designers’ educational beliefs, background training, insights from experience and implementation tools. This survey is about adding and using gamification elements and nothing relevant to the design of serious game.

The respondents must have at least 2 months of instructional design experience in creating learning material. If you consent, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that should take more than 20 minutes which depends on your speed of answering the questions. In the survey, you will be invited to participate in an optional online or a personal interview. The interview will be recorded and stored for research purposes. This research is not funded thus the participation is voluntary and you will neither receive any payment for participating in this study nor it will cost you anything to participate.

This survey is anonymous. The record of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you unless you entered an optional email address that will be removed prior to analysis.
